Dear Parents,

On November 26th, your child's report card will be sent home.  There will also be conferences so that your child can celebrate with you all the learning and the work he/she has done so far!  Please also note that I will no longer be sending home a paper copy of your child's spelling results in an effort to be more environmentally conscious.  However, your child will know his/her results and should thus be able to convey his/her mark to you.

During the month of October, we had an artist in our classroom with a professional background in acting.  Her name was Ms. Laura Kolisnyk.  I encourage you to ask your child about some of the activities that took place.  She came in 3 times and as a class we learned how a stage is set up and the vocabulary that goes along with this as well as improvisation, tableau and more... I am confident that your child will be able to share with you many of the details surrounding her visits if you ask him/her. I will post a few pics as well.

I encourage you to continue to read with your child regularly at home through the home reading program as well as Raz - Kids.  If for any reason you have not been able to access Raz - Kids, please let me know as I can be of help to you!

Furthermore, this is simply a reminder that I did send home a list of free Apps that your child can access for free.  Again, if your child enjoys any of them you may decide to purchase the complete App to support his/her learning.  The classroom IPads are now up and running and we will be using them regularly during centre time mostly in E.L.A., F.L.A. and Math.
